Sitting between the GP163 and the GP193 in the Boston grand range, the GP178 PE offers a compelling step up in scale without sacrificing elegance or practicality. A larger solid Sitka spruce soundboard with 11 ribs and 15 string sizes produces a richer, more expansive sound, whilst nickel-plated steel tuning pins and the Octagrip pinblock work together to ensure outstanding tuning stability over time. The all-wood Steinway-geometry action, reinforced-shoulder hammers, and classic case design with violin-shaped topstick complete a piano that is as refined in appearance as it is accomplished in performance.
